Tong Ah Eating House (14th Jan 2009)

When I frist went to this place, I was attracted by their milk tea. But as time goes by, I started going for their zi char stuffs as well.

I ordered a salted fish fried rice. and here are some pictures of it :)

This is one of the BEST salted fish fried rice I ever had....They had given bigger pieces of salted fish than most of the stores out there... I wonder if it was a freak incident cause I was hungry? ... definitely worth going back to try it again! Maybe tomorrow :P

I heard about this place from my co workers... I meant they are supposed to be quite good, from the blog entry of a person...

Hokkien mee zi char style
I still prefer the stall that's just a stone throw away...

Golden Mushroom Beancurd - special... cause they supposed to have made their own beancurd... but it wasn't anything special

Butter Ribs
This is supposed to be the famous dish.. I think they are featured in the newspaper... one of the sunday edition...

Drunken cockles
I would not say it's good... but the right word to use would be different... they are not the usual throw in the water and boil types...

yes, the Butter ribs are quite good... but then it wasn't that great when I packed some home for my dad... so... if you want to have good food, make sure it eaten while it's hot.
I like my food BETTER when it's hot and GOOD still when it's room temp :P
Give it a try, if u want.. but once would be enough for me.

Please don't tell my regular zi char store I been to this place for dinner...

Hong Kong Street Hock Kee Fish-Head Steamboat (16th Nov 2008 )

Vietnamese Rice Paper Roll
I ordered this from the stall that happened to be at the same place.
It wasn't the best.. though it was sold by a vietnamese lady.
I guess being a vietnamese don't mean you are able to make real good vietnamese food.

Sam Lo Hor Fun
I didn't think this was all that great. Though the fish was fresh... and my friend felt that it should be done with slightly more gravy.

Hokkien Noodles... I think this is quite good.... I usually have this or the Ee mee at this place :D Could be getting used to the taste.

Fish head soup!! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE fish head soup!
but not everyone can do it well.... esp fish soup is quite tricky esp with so many people who doesn't like the fishy taste and it could be worse if the fish is not fresh...

This is one of my favorite zi char place in Singapore... I am not a fan of zi char... not alot of places can convince me that Zi char is a good dining place... I don't like crowd... I don't like people talking loudly... and most important of all, i don't like ppl yelling orders to the kitchen! :p

Tong Ah Seafood Restaurant (3rd Nov 2008)

Decide to go into town to get some thing... so asked if a fren would like to join me... and she's interested to have MY favorite tea... so went to the tea place! :p

My friend had this "Sam Lo Hor Fun", which personally I thought was too healthy... but it actually tasted quite good... :) the fish was decently fresh... and the hor fun was fried with just enough sauce and I only got a mouthful.... :( I should go back for this :)

Hokkien Mee Zichar style!!! :P this is the different version of the usual hokkien "prawn" mee that one would get in the hawker centre or food court. I looooove this version.. *yummy* I actually asked for less noodles and more ingredients... but they somehow messed up my order... and gave me more noodles and less ingredients... I can't finish it :(

I think this is a great place to have lunch followed by some fantastic milk tea from the same place :)
