Decided to venture into the ex army camp area for some food... I been looking thru their site for a while... and was quite impressed with their menu. When the menu came... it was like a newspaper ... I thought it was quite interesting.

I always like simple deco.... but with simple deco, I definitely need a corner seat. I do not like the sound effects of sitting in the middle of the hall with noise coming from all around me. So out came my ipod!! :)

Shaved pear salad
Shavings of fresh pear served with gogonzola cheese and walnuts
I was told it was just shavings of fresh pear :P and there is very little vegetables involved in this dish.... I end up having a dish with more vegetables than I would eat in a month!!! :P The Cheese was so little... and accompanied with as little amount of walnuts. I think more cheese would be GOOD!

Spicy sweet potato mash
For a few weeks ago... I was very much into mashed potato... unfortunately... this wasn't as impressive as I thought it was. I hate the fact that I kept biting into pieces of the chilli or capsicum seeds. It's as much as having pepper in my food. Maybe they can use a sauce than mashing the "spicy" part.

Squid ink paella
(Seafood paella with clams, prawns, squid, black olives, semi dried tomatoes and sauteed capsicum. Comes out with a crusty top and a garnish of parmesan cheese and fresh coriander)
I like rice... and this came out quite well.... only if u like the rice that's has a slightly crusty stick to the ricepot side thingie... which I like.

Note to self : remember to check what's in the description of the dish... so i can eliminate the stuffs i do not like... :p

If u think u can get by with 20 dollars decent meal.... forget it. I think it's a rather pricey place... they might have lower their prices... but as it's my frist time there... I didn't actually tot i got my money worth for that lunch.



hehe I like their napkin... I am an rather old fashioned person who prefers older versions of things. :)
My favorite combo... checked with jeans :)


I checked out the other table's orders... i think I would give it another chance.... is it to take photography (which I love) or is it to try the food there again (which is also possible....)?

One thing about me... I never did like vegetables alot.... and Wheatgrass is one of the things which I would absolutely hate... and if that's the only thing I can eat in order to live, Death might not be a bad choice afterall

I loooove cookie cutters... I think they make amazing decorations, besides being used for what they are for. And of course if you can find the tiny whisk.... I think that's one super duper cute thing to have. I suspect it will be at the bottom of my kitchen drawer for decades before i decided to throw it away in a spring cleaning session...

They are selling these wonderful looking gingerbread man looking alike cookie.. I wonder if they are tasty...

Mushroom, spinach + meredith goats cheese pasta 'rotolo' with truffle butter sauce

i don't like this dish... I think the hard jelly thingie.. which is the mushroom, spinach thingie... yucks... I don't think I would try this dish again.

confit duck leg, beetroot and pancetta risotto with terre bormane balsamic reduction

surprisingly it was good, despite it being a sweet risotto :D The duck leg is not too bad... but I always prefer my duck with more fat! :p

Roasted eggplant, pumpkin & zucchini with jones pesto on mixed grain bread

I think it looked quite delicious... despite it being vegetarian... but my fren was too hungry to let me have a bit.... :P

and i said... to the little boy ...
"I want the the stars cupcake!!! yes yes!! the one with lots and lots of stars!"

okie... it ain't the best tasting cupcake... but it's the most colorful one!!! I like!!

And most important of all.... why didn't someone tell me that christmas is coming.....

I like going to other's blogs... Just to see if there is any nice place to go in Singapore or some other places if I visit...

along with a nice service staff would make the experience here completely enjoyable





Stuffs which were beautiful, cute and adorable and that are used to charm... but did not try to explore them... Maybe another time

Food which I did try... tot it could be better...

My dessert selection... one of everything in the sampler selection... Though I packed most of the stuffs... cause I didn't enjoy them as much as I thought I would.

I went away... couldn't help but hoping that they will improve in the near future. This is definitely a place to visit, relax and enjoy some times with someone or a group of friends... but I would prefer to do it with better desserts, if not better food.
